The Redmi Note 12R is the first smartphone to be released in China with the most recent midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 CPU, which was just recently launched. Since the gadget was added to the China Mobile database last week, we already knew the majority of its essential specs.
Redmi Note 12R and the freshly unveiled Redmi 12 share most of their major specifications and design, with the exception of the gleaming new chipset and a few small camera variations. There is a punch hole cutout for the 5MP front-facing camera and a 6.79-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. A 2MP macro module and a 50MP primary camera (f/1.8) are located on the rear.
The Redmi Note 12R has 4/6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB of expandable storage via a microSD card slot. The gadget runs MIUI 14 on top of Android 13 and has a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging capabilities.
