Based on Julie Orringer's 2019 book The Flight Portfolio, the Netflix miniseries Transatlantic was made by Anna Winger and Daniel Hendler. The Emergency Rescue Committee, which functioned in Marseilles, Spain, and Portugal in 1940 following the collapse of France, is examined in detail in the book.

The show wrapped at the 2023 Festival Séries Mania in March[4] before debuting on Netflix on April 7 of that year.
